Carlos Xavier Gonzalez is a visionary artist and freelance hairstylist.  At the young age of 16 he instinctively knew he wanted to be a hairstylist. Blessed with artistic vision, he attended the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, where he received over 500 hours of training and then went on to study at the University of Cosmetology Arts.

 

He has taken advanced courses at the renowned L’Oreal Academy in Denver, and at the L’Oreal Academy in Soho Academy in NYC to become a level III Master Balayage colorist. Carlos also trained with Celebrity Stylist Nancy Braun, whose clientele ranges from Reese Witherspoon, Jane Fonda, Amy Adams, and Sigourney Weaver, and other celebrity clout clientele.

He then went on to further his training with the world-renowned colorist Tracey Cunninghams, whose A-listers include some of the most famous women in the world, such as Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron, Faith Hill, Cameron Diaz, Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Drew Barrymore and the list goes on. At the age of 19, he opened the Carlos Gonzalez Hair Studio located in Mcallen, Tx. where he operates and tends to thousands of his private clients. He strives in giving each of his clients a look that meets the needs of the everyday woman. What has contributed to his life, he expresses, it's all God, his mother, grandmother, and intuition. His mother always motivated him, directly and indirectly, to deliver to the highest standards by being true to oneself, strong, passionate and always do what you love.
